Bartlett, IL - With the season complete for Bob Curran Racing and a 3rd place in the Xtreme Street class, I received an award that will stand out in my personal achievement category. "Sportsman of the Year". At first I just thought this is a pretty cool award but after I sat back and realized what I was being recognized for. WOW. This is bigger than I thought to be recognized by your fellow racers/competitors/friends as the sportsman of the year and to use this as a lesson for my kids to teach them about sportsmanship. I mean you give it 100% to win and be number one and you fall short by a round or two and you sit back, evaluate the season, and realize sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but, most of all, I have a great time showing up every race weekend to be with my friends and hopefully go home with the winners paycheck because if you show up to compete your already a winner.
